How Vaskala Chose Me" – A Personal Story from the Founder
I remember myself vividly in my student years — young, full of dreams, and completely captivated by the world of fashion.
I studied fashion design, and deep down I always knew that I wanted to create something of my own. Something meaningful. Something that would tell a story. I was drawn to the charisma and creative power of design — I explored everything: from painting and custom tailoring to interior design. Each medium sparked something different in me, but what I loved most was seeing people interact with what I had made. To watch them touch, wear, explore the shapes and colours — it was magical.
Then came the bag — the first one.
Almost unintentionally, I created it as a small accessory for a clothing collection I was working on. But the moment it came to life, I knew. I had found my path. I chose the bags… and somehow, the bags chose me right back.
That spark turned into a vision.
And on August 12, 2015, Vaskala was officially born.
A Brand for the Thoughtful Woman
Since that day, my biggest passion has been to create beautiful, durable, timeless pieces that elevate an outfit and carry with them a little bit of soul. I like to think of them as wearable pieces of art — designed not just to match your wardrobe, but to become a part of your journey.
I imagined a brand that would speak to the modern, urban woman — someone who values simplicity, structure, and subtle elegance. Someone who sees beauty not in excess, but in purpose and intention.
Vaskala is a tribute to that woman.
And to every hand and heart behind each piece.
Crafted with Purpose
Every design, every bag, is a labour of love. From the very first sketch to the final stitch, there is care and thought woven into every detail.
And I am endlessly grateful that I get to share this with the world — to create pieces that last, that carry stories, and that stay close to the heart.
This is only the beginning.
Thank you for being part of it.
— With love,
Ērika Rudika, Founder of Vaskala
